How to add team members to your Sync™ account

Our Teams feature is ideal if you have other people taking payments on your behalf. Easily add members to your team, keep track of payments, and see reports by a given team member in your Sync™ app.

Adding a team member: #

1) Open the Sync™ app and go to “Home“

2) Scroll down and select “My team“

3) Then select “Add member“

4) Select an Account type for your team member: ‘Standard’ is typically the most suitable. If your team members will be sharing the same device then a ‘Passcode only’ account will be best.

Please note: “Passcode only” accounts allow for profile switching on a single device with a unique PIN. If you have chosen a PIN-only account, your PIN code will be displayed for 10 seconds. You may make a note of this or select “Share” at the bottom of the screen to send it to a team member.

5) Enter the name and email address of the team member

6) Toggle the Permissions on/off as required. Once you are happy with all the permissions granted, press “Save“.

That’s it. If you want to add more team members then simply repeat the steps above.

Please note: Once a team member has been invited they will receive an email in which they will need to accept their invitation. Team members may need to check their junk/spam folder for this email.

Selecting access permissions: #

Permissions are simply the things that your team member will be able to do with their account. All permissions are turned off as default, simply toggle them in order to turn them on.

  • Account Admin – If on, your team member will have full control of the merchant account and settings, which includes making changes to the business profile, bank account details, and payout schedule
  • Payment links – If on, your team member will be able to create and send payment links to customers
  • View all links – If on, your team member will be able to see payments links sent by other members of the team, both pending and completed payment links
  • Payment subscriptions- If on, your team member will be able to create and send subscription links to customers
  • View all subscriptions – If on, your team member will be able to see subscription links sent by other members of the team, both pending and completed payment links
  • Manage POS products – If on, your team member will be able to add, edit or remove products from your Shop grids
  • Balance visibility – If on, your team member will be able to see all transactions of other team members
  • View all transactions -If on, your team member will be able to view transactions of other team members
  • Allowed to refund – If on, your team member will be able to issue refunds for the completed payment transactions they have taken
  • Access to reports – If on, your team member will be able to view and download all activity reports
  • Tax write access – If on, your team member will be able to add or edit the taxes applied to transactions

Please note: If you want Team Members to be able to take Tap to Pay payment, you must accept the associated Terms first. To do this, select ‘My Devices’ on the app home page and then setup ‘Tap to Pay’.

Changing Permissions or removing access #

To change the permissions of a team member at any time, click on their name in the My Team page and you’ll see the range of permissions that you can toggle on/off.

In addition, you have the option to freeze, unfreeze and delete team members. After editing any of the permissions or team settings, please ensure that you click the Update button, to save the changes.
