What is Sync™ and how to download the Sync™ app

How do I create a Sync™ account? #
With Sync™, you can be set up and taking payments with just your mobile phone in minutes. There’s no contract and no monthly fees.
Download the Sync™ app from your app store via the links below:
Once the downloaded, open the app and select Register at the bottom. Enter your details, accept the terms & conditions and privacy policy, and select ‘Continue’.
You will then be sent a code to confirm your email address – the email will be from Sync™. Please open the email and click the link if you’re on your phone or use the code provided.
Once you’ve created your account you will be guided through onboarding to verify your identity and configure your account: Tap the ‘Complete setup’ banner on the app homepage and follow the steps in the app to do this.
How do I sign in to my existing account? #
Open the Sync™ app and select ‘Already have an account?‘.
Enter the email address you used to create an account and select ‘Continue‘.
Open the magic link email from Sync™ and select the ‘Tap to log in‘ button in the email or copy the code provided. (A magic link is a link that is securely created on Sync™- it is a single-use, unique alternative to signing in with a password. For security reasons, the magic link is only functional for 30 minutes.)
Email not showing? Please check your junk/spam folder and double check that you entered the email address you used to create your Sync™ account.
Managing multiple businesses? #
You can create multiple accounts under one email address and switch between them within the Sync™ app. To do this, go to the ‘More‘ screen in the app via the grey icon either in the top right or bottom right corner (depending on your app version) and select ‘Add a new business‘.
How do I start using Sync™ to take payments? #
You will need to verify your identity and add your bank account before you can start taking payments via Tap to Pay or order hardware such as a Card Reader or Business Terminal.
You will need photo ID, such as your passport or driving licence, and your smartphone. Identity verification has to be done via the app on your smartphone as a live selfie is required.
Click the green ‘Complete setup‘ banner on the app home page and follow the steps in the app. Once completed, there a multiple ways to take payments via Sync™.
Where can I use Sync™? #
Currently Sync™ is available in the UK, Ireland and the USA. A bank in the country of registration is required and you can only take in-person payments in the country of registration.
