Recording a cash payment

How to take a cash payment using the Sync™ app

You can record a cash payment, calculate the change required and send a receipt via your Sync™ app. There are no fees on cash payments.

How to take a cash payment: #

1) Open the Sync™ app and go to the Charge screen (2nd icon at the bottom)

2) Type in the amount you wish to charge your customer

3) Select “Charge” (or, if you have a card reader connected select “other“)

4) From the options available, select “Cash“

5) Type in the amount of cash you have been given. The amount of change for you to give the customer will also be displayed if relevant.

6) Select “OK“.

If you would like to send a receipt then follow the steps below.

How to send a receipt: #

1) Select “Need to send a receipt“.

2) Then choose if you would like to send the receipt via “email” or “text’.

2a) If you select”email“then fill in the customer’s email in the box provided, then select”Send“.

2b) If you select “text” fill in the customer’s phone number in the box provided, then select “Send“.
